Domestic Oil prices and the war in Iran - Press Piece

Last week I spoke with a Times journalist about the impact of the war in Iran on domestic oil prices. Many properties in West Wales rely on oil and many homeowners wait until this time of year and into summer to budget for their oil tank refills. Traditionally, prices drop as the weather warms but this year we have seen prices soar from 55p a litre to £1.55 a litre last week. The cost of filling our 1750 litre tank changes from circa £800 to upwards of £2000 and this scenario is facing people across the country. It caught us slightly unawares, and has meant we've needed to think carefully about oil usage for water and heating. We have a log burner which helps with heating in the evening too.

Definitely another thing to consider when living in rural communities. If you'd like to explore how we can help with moving to West Wales please get in touch using the Contact form or drop me an email emma@westwalespropertyfinders.co.uk or message on 07736 042516
