London Leavers Bypassing Home Counties

A lot more young families are looking for a better life and somewhere with more space.  it has been a long rite of passage for growing families from London to escape to the Home Counties. But this year, for the first time, more than half of London leavers selling a home in the capital are heading beyond the ring surrounding the capital, according to Hamptons..... ...Wales may not seem a natural next step from London, but it appears twice in Hampton's ranking. The number of Londoners house-hunting in Pembrokeshire and Wrexham has climbed by 79% and 76% respectively.  With average house prices of £234,300 and £201,520, they are amongst the most affordable places on the list. Carol Peett of West Wales Property Finders, http://www.westwalespropertyfinders.co.uk says: "That's partly because people can work from home but also some of them have re-evaluated their lives.  There are a lot more young families looking for a better life and somewhere with lots of space,  They can't afford that closer to London.  Plenty of buyers moving from London are returning to their family roots."...
